Term times

Most classes allow dogs to enter throughout the term, classes will be confirmed at orientation or assessment.

NB! - We do not deal with aggression or extreme reactivity as dogs MUST be able to go into a group setting. We, unfortunately, DO NOT offer individual classes at this time. If during an assessment your dog displays problematic behaviours we can direct you to alternate groups who will be able to assist and we have trainers we can recommend for you to contact for individual lessons but this will be PRIVATE and at the rate and venue they determine (i.e. not our rates). If you are unsure we can determine if this is a concern during orientation and assessment.
Puppy
Dogs under six months of age. Pups are required to have had their 2nd vaccinations, so please bring those vaccination booklets along. Basics of the basics. How to train your dog as well as help with all the "puppy problems" like house-training, teething, etc.
CGC
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) is a program established to promote responsible dog ownership. It encourages the training of well-mannered dogs. Completion of this course is by formal KUSA judged assessment and qualifiers get a rosette and official KUSA CGC Certificate. We train up to Gold level.
Kindergarten
Now that your puppy has a little bit more focus and has started maturing, we hone those skills learned during puppy classes and help you through the "terrible teens".
CD
Officially a Companion Dog (CD) Certification is a "Novice Obedience Title". It is often also considered a classic working trial. Don't let the technical terms scare you, a number of our members have competed for this title and qualified. For our more experienced handlers and dogs looking for a fun challenge.
pREP
You and your dog survived the adolescent years without us (or perhaps with someone else as your trainer). This is for older dogs with no previous training, or dogs that can't quite move into our more advanced classes but can no longer hide behind cute puppy dog eyes.
Agility
Beginners and advanced dogs and handlers learn about the basics of agility while running courses. We require dogs and handlers to have completed an obedience class as it does require a certain level of focus and a good recall. We encourage our handlers to enter open shows, fun days, and demos.
Clicker
Obedience is not your thing? That's cool where would we be if we all loved the same things? Clicker uses a technique called "marking" to teach skills and tricks and improves communication between you and your dog.
RaLLy & Tricks
Rally is a dog sport based on Obedience. Rally handlers proceed around a course with designated stations. At each station an exercise is performed. The emphasis of Rally is for the dog and handler to work as a team whilst having fun.
